New ePublisher AutoMap Job Window

This window allows you to create a new ePublisher AutoMap job. A job is a task that ePublisher AutoMap schedules that generates output based on an existing ePublisher project or existing ePublisher Stationery. Once you create an ePublisher AutoMap job, you can run the job immediately, or schedule the job to run at a later point in time.

You start by choosing what you want the job to do. The choice sets which windows the rest of the job creation presents, and which files the location field accepts.

The fields are defined as follows:

Create a new publishing job

Creates a job that publishes the source documents you list in the job, formatted by the Stationery or ePublisher project you select. ePublisher AutoMap creates a new project from that origin each time the job runs. For more information, see Creating a Stationery-Based Job and Using an ePublisher Project as Stationery.

Automate an existing project

Creates a job that builds an existing ePublisher project where it sits, using the source documents and settings the project already contains. For more information, see Creating a Project-Based Job.

Compose published parcels into a website (Composition Job)

Creates a composition job, which assembles output that other jobs have already published into one website instead of generating output itself. A composition job is created in your job folder, so the location field does not apply to it. For more information, see Creating a Composition Job.

Choose ePublisher project / Choose ePublisher stationery or project

Specifies the location of the project or Stationery that ePublisher AutoMap should use to generate output. The label and the file types offered follow the option you selected above: Automate an existing project accepts an ePublisher project (a .wep or .wrp file), and Create a new publishing job accepts Stationery (a .wxsp file) or an ePublisher project.
