Set the Embedded Assistant's appearance and language
The Embedded Assistant's panel takes two colors, a welcome line and a language from the Install tab; it derives its text, border and bubble colors from the two you pick so it stays readable. The panel's header shows the Assistant's avatar, name and description, and an empty conversation lists its conversation starters; those come from the Configure tab. See Create and manage an Assistant.
Set colors, welcome text and language
In AI Assistants, open the Assistant and select the Install tab.
Under Any website, go to Appearance.
Set any of these:
Setting
What it changes
Accent
The button, the visitor's message bubbles, the send button and links. Pick a color, or type a six-digit hex value such as
#2563eb.Background
The panel's background. Pick a color or type a hex value.
Language
The words of the panel and its button: one of English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese.
Welcome text
An optional line, up to 500 characters, that opens an empty conversation.
Check the miniature beside the settings, which follows each change.
Click Save. The button reads Saved when it's done.
Save saves these settings on their own; Save Changes on the Configure tab doesn't save or undo them. Visitors see the change the next time a page loads; the script tag on your pages stays the same.
When the accent is close to the background, the tab says so, and the panel darkens or lightens links to keep them readable.
What Language changes
Language sets the panel's own words: the button's label, the prompts and buttons in the panel, and the messages shown when a question is refused. It doesn't decide the language of answers. See Assistants and languages.
Put the button on the left
The button and panel open at the bottom right. To put them at the bottom left, add data-position="left" to the script tag on your pages:
<script async src="…/embed/v1/loader.js" data-assistant="…" data-position="left"></script>
Keep the rest of the tag as you copied it from the Install tab.
