Connect the Reverb Assistant to Reverb 2.0 help
WebWorks Reverb 2.0 output has the AI Assistant built in. Giving the target an Assistant's ID connects the two, and the help you publish then carries a Reverb Assistant that answers from your Knowledge Base, with citations that open the passage an answer came from.
Before you start
The Assistant's Knowledge Base holds the Knowledge Files from your ePublisher build. See Upload Knowledge Files from ePublisher.
Its Origin Domains include the domain that will serve the published help, such as
docs.example.com. See Set an Assistant's Origin Domains.
Copy the Assistant ID
In AI Assistants, open the Assistant and select the Install tab.
Under Reverb 2.0, click Copy.
The ID is also at the top of the Configure tab, with its own copy button.
Give the target the ID
In ePublisher, open Target Settings for the WebWorks Reverb 2.0 target.
In the AI Features group, set Generate Assistant to enable and paste the ID into Assistant ID.
Generate the target, and publish the output to a web server.
Give each help set its own Assistant: an Assistant answers from everything in its Knowledge Base, so help sets that share one also share their answers. ePublisher's help describes the other AI Features settings, including Generate Knowledge Base and Hide AI Tab when file local: see AI Features.
Make it answer readers
Put the Assistant in deployment. See Put an Assistant in deployment.
Open the published help over
https:orhttp:, open the AI Assistant from the help's menu, and ask a question the help answers.
Opened from a file, the help can't reach the Assistant. Changes to the Assistant's Instructions, model and knowledge reach the published help without regenerating it; regenerate only when the help itself changes, and upload its new Knowledge Files then. If the Assistant doesn't answer, see The Assistant doesn't appear or doesn't answer.
