Choose or change a plan
Subscribe to Pro or Enterprise from Settings > Plans, and make every later change, cancelling included, in the billing portal that Stripe hosts. You need to be the organization's owner or a billing manager.
What plans differ on
The Plans page compares the plans with their current prices. They differ on:
how much usage is included each month (see Included allowance)
how many Assistants can be in deployment at a time
how much knowledge storage the organization has (see Knowledge storage)
whether chat shows the Powered by WebWorks badge, listed as White-label chat
Every plan lets you build and test as many Assistants as you like. Annual bills a year at once at a lower monthly rate; Month-to-month bills every month. The included allowance is the same on both.
Subscribe to a plan
Go to Settings > Plans.
Choose Annual or Month-to-month.
On the plan's card, click Upgrade to followed by the plan's name.
Pay in Stripe Checkout.
Back on Plans, the page shows Thanks — your subscription is confirmed. The card reads Activating… until Stripe confirms the payment, usually within seconds, and then Current plan. The plan's included allowance arrives at once.
Switch plans or billing interval
Go to Settings > Plans.
To change plans, click Switch to followed by the plan's name on that plan's card. To change how your plan is billed, choose the other interval at the top, then click Switch to annual billing or Switch to month-to-month on your plan's card.
Make the change in the billing portal.
Manage subscription on Settings > Billing opens the same portal. A change is invoiced at once, and the new billing period starts that day. A switch to another paid plan resets the included allowance to the new plan's amount. If the new plan allows fewer Assistants in deployment, the most recently deployed ones are taken out of deployment. See Put an Assistant in deployment.
A plan bought with a plan code has no billing portal and no buttons on Plans: its card shows the date it is prepaid through, and you renew or change it by writing to subscriptions@webworks.com. See Redeem a plan code.
Cancel a plan
Go to Settings > Plans.
On the Pay-As-You-Go card, click Cancel subscription.
Confirm the cancellation in the billing portal.
The plan keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, and Plans and Billing show the date it ends. To keep it, click Resume plan on its card before then. When it ends:
the organization moves to Pay-As-You-Go
what is left of the included allowance is forfeited; purchased credits are kept
Assistants in deployment beyond the Pay-As-You-Go limit are taken out of deployment, and the earliest deployed stay in
the billing email gets a notice that names any Assistant taken out of deployment
Subscription refunds are requested by email to subscriptions@webworks.com, which also answers other plan questions. Credit purchases aren't refundable.
When a renewal payment fails
Settings > Billing shows We couldn't charge your card for the latest renewal. and the billing email gets a notice. The plan stays active while Stripe retries the payment. Update the card in the billing portal through Manage subscription. If the payment still fails, the plan ends as if it had been cancelled.
